Casimir Pulaski Day

I have no place to die today,

my spot has not been saved.

Kill the heart that beats for me,

for I want him to bear no pain.

When I go,

when I go

down the sidewalk in my chains

as they crinkle and clank,

release me from the shackles

of each earthly breath I take.

I can’t deal with this depression,

its hole runs far too deep;

for my father and my mother,

with blood their eyes do weep.

I love you,

I love you

though my mind has gone awry,

I wish the best of all that comes to you

for I’ve found my place to die.
